What is Spoken Guidance?

Spoken Guidance started out as an idea for a Bible app. I realized many don't actually help with knowing where to start. Giving people the same content at different points of their walk. A lot ends up missing, too. The context of the verse. Who wrote it. The time period it came from. And then there are the personal things a person may be walking through that never get taken into account.

You can read any verse in Scripture and still feel hope. But what about a verse specifically tailored for you? I'll say it myself — I've tried the "open the Bible and randomly find a verse" approach, then expected it to speak to me. I hope I'm not alone, but most people have been there. Not really knowing where to start. Wanting more, but needing guidance. This app will be completely personal, meeting you right where you are.

At first I just wanted to make the app. But the community — the people actually using it — is the reason for it in the first place. So everyone can know they aren't alone. People who can build their intimacy with Jesus. Those who simply want to expand their knowledge of the Word.

So now Spoken Guidance is not only an app, but a brand — a community of people seeking more. Ready to spread the Gospel. Ready to go deeper every single day. Willing to labor until the end. This app will be a great tool, but the building of the community — and knowing you're not alone — will be life-changing.

For those of you who will use the app in the future, I want to tell you a bit about how it's built. It uses a questionnaire to personalize the app for you, so your walk becomes completely personal — Scripture that speaks into your season. It will never tell you what to do in terms of prayer, or act as a devotional prompting you to just be a good person.

Maybe you read a verse and simply sit with it. Maybe a prayer rises up in you. Either way, that's yours — from your heart. The app leaves the intimacy between you and Jesus. It's only the tool to help people read more and gather understanding for themselves.

The one deciding factor is simply you, opening the Word. Whether you're in the valley or on the mountaintop, the Word has something for you every single day. You just have to open it — no matter the season.

So be among the first to download the app, and look out for its release date coming soon. Subscribe to the newsletter so you'll know when new blog posts drop, along with special announcements. And let's share the Good News of Jesus Christ!
