One goal I had in starting Spoken Guidance was to build a community that is eager to read the Bible and keep learning. To do that, you should know who is behind everything Spoken Guidance produces, from the app to every blog post.
My name is Isaiah Abraham, and I'm from Brooklyn, New York. One thing about people from Brooklyn: we're always going to make sure everyone knows we're from Brooklyn. Unapologetically.
I started Spoken Guidance because the Bible is a fascinating collection of books, and my biggest encouragement is to read all of it. Spoken Guidance aims to get as many people as possible reading the Bible and, ultimately, knowing Jesus Christ, through the topics we talk about, the meanings behind certain words, and the countless stories.
The Bible truly surprised me. I actually read it while I was basically on my way out of Christianity, and I gained an understanding that changed my perspective. I just hope those who want more and have questions can find the same.
I also realized how few people around me were reading the Bible. That's why I created the Spoken Guidance app, so people can read for themselves every day. And if you don't know where to start, that's where the personalization takes it to another level, because Scripture really does speak into every part of everyone's life. Maybe you just need one verse to know where to begin.
With all that said, a little more about me. I love soccer. It's a game I've played since I was young, and it taught me a lot about hard work, failure, discipline and overcoming. I played growing up in New York and then in Spain, and it didn't stop there. Soccer has taken me to Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, England and other states across the USA.
I enjoy film and music, but lately my goal has been to be as well rounded as possible. That has helped me relate to so many others.
My biggest goal is simply to spread the love of Jesus. I don't want anyone reading this to think I'm the finished product. This is just so you know who's behind everything. I'll leave my Instagram below.

How we handle Scripture
Every verse is quoted exactly as written. Scripture in the app comes word for word from the Berean Standard Bible, the World English Bible or the King James Version. It is never paraphrased, shortened or rewritten.
The reflection is written around the verse, never over it. Your daily reading is chosen for the season you're in, and the reflection that goes with it is there to help you sit with the text. The text itself stays untouched.
Word studies come from real sources. Greek and Hebrew definitions come from STEPBible's lexicons, credited on every study.
No ads. No data sold. What you write in your journal stays yours.
